A whirlwind week in St Charles earlier this month left lifelong lessons and memories for a Smith-Cotton senior, along with a $100,000 scholarship.
Jeffthan Glaster represented Sedalia at this year’s Missouri Boys’ State, hosted by Lindenwood University. Glaster says the week helped develop an appreciation for public and community service.
Glaster became this year’s director of public safety, which he says gave him even more hands on experience, not only in day-to-day government operations.
Boys’ State organizers recognized Glaster’s school and community involvement with this year’s “Man In The Arena” Vogel Family Scholarship, which will cover up to $100,000 of Glaster’s college tuition. Glaster says he’s appreciative of the opportunities to explore his interests as a student at Smith-Cotton High School.
Glaster says he plans to pursue admission to UMKC’s accelerated medical school program.
