A Keytesville man was injured in an ATV crash in Chariton County during the early morning hours of Saturday, August 24.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred as 49-year-old Chuck McKinstry was traveling on a 2001 Polaris Trailblazer on the intersection of Ridge Street and State Street in Keytesville at 3:25 a.m.

McKinstry’s vehicle failed to negotiate a turn and struck a utility pole, ejecting McKinstry. He was taken to University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
