The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission is beginning its search for a new director for the Missouri Department of Transportation after Director Patrick McKenna has announced his departure effective September 20

The Commission has named MoDOT Deputy Director Ed Hassinger as interim director to lead the organization during the transition.

The Commission intends to launch a national search for its new director following its monthly meeting the first week of September. First, they are seeking public input on important credentials and personal attributes key to the position. A public comment form is available online, and comments will be accepted through 8 a.m. Tuesday, September 3.

The Commission intends to post the MoDOT Director job vacancy announcement in early September with the intent to have a new director in place by the end of the year.
