
The ninth-ranked Missouri Valley Vikings men’s soccer team posted a pair of milestones in Tuesday night’s 3-0 victory over Harris-Stowe State University at Volney C Ashford Stadium.
Head coach Vladimir Simic recorded his 300th career victory, while senior forward Sam Green scored his 100th career point. Green’s accomplishment came in the 57th minute, netting Valley’s second goal of the game from close range. Leul Alfagame and Kazuki Hashimoto also netted goals, while keeper Marcal Aspas made three saves to keep a clean sheet.
The Vikings are now 3-1-1 and turn their attention to the Heart of America Athletic Conference schedule, hosting Mount Mercy on Saturday. The women’s game kicks off at 1 p.m., followed by the men’s contest at 3:30 p.m.
