A Leeton woman suffered moderate injuries after her vehicle was struck from behind by a pickup on a Johnson County roadway Saturday night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says that 32-year-old Karina Mitchell was stopped in her SUV on Southwest 101st Road, about six miles south of Warrensburg, when a northbound pickup driven by 36-year-old William Larrison of Leeton went over the hillcrest and struck the rear of Mitchell’s vehicle. Mitchell was taken to a nearby hospital, while Larrison had no reported injuries. Troopers say both drivers were not wearing their seat belts.
