Michael E. Cole, 42, of Slater, died Sunday, September 15, 2024 at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.

Funeral services will be Friday, September 20, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater, with Larry Moore officiating. Burial will be in Rehoboth Cemetery, with Randy Holt, Justin Lopez, Austin Scott, Charles Weaver, Joey Harry, and Eric Yager serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Brad Kruger. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the American Kidney Foundation in care of the funeral home.

Born November 24, 1981 in Marshall, he was the son of James and Linda Scott Cole, who survive of Slater.

He is also survived by a brother, James Cole, Jr. and his wife Courtney of Salisbury; four sisters, Tracy Head and her husband Chris of Slater, Stacy Harry and her husband Joey of Slater, Beatrice Brownfield of Marshall, and Trisha Weaver and her husband Charlie of Slater; and four nieces and nephews, Abigail Head, Andrew Head, Jacob Harry, and Hailey Harry.

Mr. Cole worked as a self-employed painter. He was a lifelong Slater resident.
