The Pettis County Sheriff’s Office and Mid Missouri Drug Task Force served a search warrant at a residence on Alexander Road in northern Pettis County on Thursday, September 26.

The residence and adjacent trailer were cleared and ultimately searched. As a result, approximately half a pound of methamphetamine, paraphernalia, and several firearms were seized. 56-year-old Melody Sloma was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail.

Authorities noted that Sloma has property in Arizona and is considered a flight risk.

Sloma has been charged with felonies for trafficking drugs in the second degree, possession of a controlled substance, and three counts of unlawful use of a weapon. Bond was set at $100,000 cash or surety.

No court dates gave been set at this time.
