John A. (Jack) McMurdo, age 95, of Sedalia, passed away Tuesday, March 21. A celebration of life service will be Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at Parkview Christian Church at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 10:00 a.m.

He was preceding in death by his parents, Sarah Aleatha Wallington and John Olia McMurdo, wife, Joan Webber, a brother Tom McMurdo, sisters, Bonnie Rains, Emma Rynard, Betty Bergman and infant Mary Margaret.

Survivors include a son Mike and wife Shirley, of Kimberling City, Missouri; grandchildren, Shannon, wife Sheranne McMurdo, of Kimberling City, Brian McMurdo, wife Mandy, of Kimberling City, and granddaughter Angie, husband Scott McDonald, of Nixa, Missouri, seven great-grandchildren, Beth, Ross, Demi, Miranda, Reece, Tyler and Faith, brother Jim, wife Mary McMurdo, Monroe City, Missouri and sister, Janice Cornwall of Warsaw. Jack loved his family and enjoyed his nieces and nephews that survive and a special neighbor Anna Lee Bail.

In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be made to Parkview Christian Church.

The arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home.
