The Pettis County Commission held a ceremony with representatives from the University of Missouri Extension in Pettis County and citizens to present two proclamations and recognize century farms in Pettis County at 9 a.m. Tuesday, October 8.

The first declared October 6-12, 2024, as 4-H Week in Pettis County, and the second designated the month of October 2024 as University of Missouri Extension Month.

Thierfelder Family Farms, Taylor Farms, and Wagenknecht Farms were recognized as Missouri Century Farms.

The Commission encourages all Pettis County residents to recognize the profound impact of 4-H in equipping young people with essential lifelong skills for success and to appreciate the invaluable programs provided by the University of Missouri Extension, which continue to enrich the lives of individuals across Missouri and Pettis County.
