The Concordia Board of Aldermen approved amendments to the city’s Comprehensive Plan and city code regarding Zoning Commission duties assigned to the Planning and Zoning Commission during its meeting on Monday, October 7.

Aldermen held a public hearing prior to the meeting to consider the changes that are being presented and allow for public comment. City Administrator Dale Klussman says the board wanted to make sure the wording regarding the Planning and Zoning Commission’s responsibilities matched the city code.

Later in the meeting, the board approved the bill to amend the Comprehensive Plan.

The board also passed a resolution to offer Cadet Shawn Morgan a position in the Concordia Police Department once he graduates from the Police Academy in December.
