The Slater City Council discussed the upcoming Fall Festival as well as the newly installed cameras at the city’s park during its meeting on Tuesday, October 15.

The Slater Fall Festival is being held from Thursday, October 17, through Saturday, October 19. Plenty of events and activities are scheduled throughout the three-day festival. City Administrator Gene Griffith says this is a good event to bring people together.

The council also discussed the newly installed cameras at the city park. The cameras are up and running, and the Slater city officials and the Saline County Sheriff’s Office has access to the camera feed. The city is hoping these cameras will help identify any individuals vandalizing the city’s park. Griffith has noted that the presence of the cameras has deterred any recent activity.
