The Santa Fe R-X School District is celebrating a pair of accomplishments this weekend by students and staff in the district.

Six students are receiving their American Degrees at this weekend’s National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, recognizing their years of work on their individual and chapter projects.  Those students are Michael Dierking, Emmett Finkeldei, Evan Finkeldei, Carter Fuehring, Atleigh Lark, and Reid Monsees.

Additionally, Santa Fe FFA adviser Martha Schreiman is receiving an Honorary American Degree. Superintendent Derek Lark commends Schreiman for the impact she’s had on so many of the district’s students.

Lark also congratulates the Chiefs volleyball team for winning this week’s Class One, District 14 tournament, their 14th district title in the past 17 years. Santa Fe will host Osceola in a sectional bout Thursday evening. Lark encourages the community to attend.

Santa Fe Superintendent Derek Lark says he’s also looking forward to the district hosting the annual I-70 Conference professional development day, set for Monday, Nov. 4.
