Several alleyways in downtown Sedalia will undergo milling and overlay work next week.

Beginning Monday, Nov. 4, the city’s Public Works department will perform the work on seven alleyways in the historic district, between Osage and Lamine avenues. The work will begin at 6 a.m. each morning and continue through 4 p.m. Each alleyway will be closed to traffic while the work is underway. Drivers will need to find alternate routes to avoid delays, and residents in the area will need to coordinate with city crews on site should they need access.

City crews expect to complete the work by Nov. 8. However, inclement weather or equipment breakdowns could delay completion of the project.
