The Saline County Commission says another grant award is on the way to help pay for construction of the welcome center at the Marshall Junction.

Northern District Commissioner Stephanie Gooden announced the funding during Wednesday’s regular commission meeting.

Gooden also provided a progress update on the development of a wastewater system for the junction.

Applications for two permits allowing the construction and operation of the system remain pending before the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
