24-1031-future-mpl-location

Planning for the Marshall Public Library’s new location not only includes how the building will look, but also what will take place there.

Director Matt Rahner says funding from the quarter-cent sales tax enabled by the passage of Proposition L will also help expand the library’s programs.

Rahner says the new location should also allow the library to extend the hours they’re able to operate.

The Marshall Public Library has already purchased the building at the southeast corner of Jefferson and Morgan. Rahner says plans are to begin renovations next year with the aim of opening the new location in the middle of 2026.
