The U.S. Men’s Soccer Team ambushed Jamaica with four goals Monday, Nov. 18 in St Louis, steaming to a 4-2 win at the recently rebranded Energizer Park before more than 21,000 fans.
Christian Pulisic opened the scoring in the 13th minute with a shot off a cross from Weston McKinnie. Jamaica would concede an own goal 20 minutes later, then find themselves effective out of it before the half when Ricardo Pepi made it a 3-0 game. Timothy Weah made his return to the lineup with a goal in the 56th minute, while Jamaica’s Demarai Gray picked up their only two goals of the match.
The US advance 5-2 on aggregate following their win last week at Jamaica, and have booked a spot in the Nations League semifinals set for March in Los Angeles. They’ve also booked a spot in next year’s CONCACAF Gold Cup.
