The Brunswick R-II School Board will not go forward with asking their patrons for another bond issue.

At Monday night’s meeting, the school board discussed the idea before ultimately deciding to not put one forward on the April ballot. Superintendent Cara Engelbrecht say the district recently completed several projects with the previous bond measure.

The board approved updates to Brunswick’s comprehensive school improvement plan as part of the consent agenda. Engelbrecht notes that the district helped pilot the latest version of the Missouri School Improvement Program, which the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education rolled out statewide in 2022.

Also at Monday night’s meeting, the Brunswick R-II board approved additions to the substitute teacher list, and accepted the bid for snow removal services from Dave Reische. Superintendent Engelbrecht adds that the district’s Christmas concert will take place the evening of Dec. 12.
