Nearly 85 percent of Saline County voters supported a measure on November’s ballot establishing a property tax credit for residents aged 62 years and older for their primary residence.

KMMO News has learned that the management of senior tax credit applications in Saline County will be jointly handled by the offices of the county clerk and county collector. An ordinance formally codifying the procedure will need to be passed by the county commission, similar to one adopted in Boone County after voters there gave approval to the tax credit last April.
