Two area residents were injured in a crash on Highway 50 in Johnson County on Friday, November 22.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred as a vehicle driven by a 72-year-old Centerview man slowed to make a turn while traveling on Highway 50 near Route M, causing a vehicle driven by a 43-year-old Warrensburg woman to strike the rear of his vehicle.

The Warrensburg woman was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment of moderate injuries. The Centerview man also had minor injuries in the collision.

The accident occurred at 6:01 p.m. in Johnson County.
