Area authorities arrested a Kansas City woman following a high-speed chase on Highway 50 and Highway 23 on Tuesday, November 26.

According to the Pettis County Sheriff’s Department, a deputy was notified by the Missouri State Highway Patrol of a stolen vehicle driving along westbound Highway 50. The deputy located the vehicle on the highway and activated his emergency lights, but the suspect did not pull over. A chase ensued, where the deputy reported speeds of approximately 100 miles per hour on the highway.

The deputy reported losing sight of the vehicle as exited to Highway 23, but the MSHP reported vehicle got lost control and got stuck in a mud field.

The driver, identified as Brianna Willis was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail after being released from the hospital. Authorities located marijuana and methamphetamine belonging to Willis in the vehicle.

Willis has been charged with felonies for tampering with a motor vehicle in the first degree, possession of a controlled substance, delivery of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, and tampering with physical evidence. Bond was set at $50,000 cash or surety.
