The court has denied the City of Sedalia’s motion for a new trial in the case of City of Sedalia v. Bill Taylor, in an order filed on Sunday, December 1.

This judgment reaffirms the court’s earlier conclusion that the City failed to present a submissible case supported by substantial evidence. The decision, issued by Judge Lett, upholds Pettis County’s position and reinforces the integrity of the actions taken by County officials.

The city had motioned for a new trial on September 16, following a verbal ruling in July and after the formal judgement was entered on August 15.
