Moberly Schools Superintendent Cristina Wright says there are “areas to address” after the release of the district’s annual performance report by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
The district’s report card assessing student performance and continuous improvement saw a two-point drop for Moberly, who is now at 74.4 percent. Wright summarized the findings at Tuesday night’s school board meeting. She tells KMMO News some of the numbers are lower because of the transition to a new setup for social studies.
Wright says math scores also were lower compared to last year.
Also at Tuesday night’s meeting, the Moberly School Board approved their annual audit, which Wright says showed no negative findings, and approved the early graduation requests for a pair of students. The board also gave the go-ahead to use an online auction service next month to sell the site of the former East Park School.
