Rookie Macklin Celebrini scored twice in the second period and assisted on another goal to lead the San Jose Sharks to a 4-3 victory over the St Louis Blues on Thursday, Dec. 12 at Enterprise Center.

The Center brought his total goal count to ten with a power play goal with seven seconds remaining in the middle frame to put the Sharks ahead 3-1. Earlier in the second, he sent a wrist shot past Jordan Binnington to give San Jose the lead. Nikolai Kovalenko assisted on three of the Sharks’ goals, including the ultimate game winner by Jake Walman six minutes into the third. Tyler Toffoli recorded the Sharks’ first goal 81 seconds into the contest.

The Blues were playing from behind for most of the game, with Jake Neighbours tying the game halfway through the first period. Brayden Schenn and Jordan Kyrou scored for the Blues in the third period.

The Blues slip to sixth in the Central Division standings, remaining on 30 points. Colorado is now four points ahead in the second wild card spot for the western Conference. The Blues are back on the road Saturday night to face the Dallas Stars. Puck drop is at 7 p.m.
