
The Mizzou Tigers volleyball squad saw their season come to a close Thursday afternoon in Pittsburgh, falling in four sets to conference rivals Kentucky in the NCAA Regional Semifinals.
Mizzou dropped each of the first two sets by identical 25-20 scores before going on a 10-0 run to take the third25-16. However, the momentum fizzled as the SEC champs cruised to the match-clinching, 25-13 set win. Kentucky recorded 59 kills and five aces in the contest, hitting .347 to Mizzou’s .241.
The Tigers were led by Jordan Iliff with 20 kills and a pair of aces, completing her time at Mizzou with 68 aces. Marina Crownover recorded 37 of Mizzou’s 45 assists. Mizzou’s season concludes with a 22-9 record, including an 11-5 mark in SEC play.
