
The Higginsville Board of Aldermen approved an ordinance to receive grant funds to purchase a new ambulance for the city’s EMS department during its meeting on Monday, December 16.
The board had to approve a Program Service Contract with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services to receive the grants funds totaling up to $100,000. The grant funding will be used for the purchase of a Type 1 Ambulance for the Higginsville EMS Department. The ambulance costs $227,504.
In other news, the board recognized Ethan Schneider for his five years of service with the city.
Also the board decided to move its January 20 meeting to Tuesday, January 21 due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
