After 14 years of service as Pettis County’s Clerk and Election Authority, Nick La Strada is taking his talents east to Jefferson City.

La Strada tells KMMO News he will become the new Director of Election Integrity in the Missouri Secretary of State’s office once Denny Hoskins is sworn into the office Monday. La Strada says he looks forward to putting his experience to use statewide in ensuring secure elections.

In addition to managing Pettis County’s elections, La Strada has also served as an international elections observer. He says he’s ready to hit the ground running in Jefferson City supporting Hoskins’ goals.

La Strada says he plans to remain in Sedalia and commute to Jefferson City. When La Strada’s resignation as Pettis County Clerk takes effect Friday, the Pettis County Commission will select an interim clerk who will serve until a final appointment is made by governor-elect Mike Kehoe. La Strada had just under two years remaining on his current term as county clerk.
