Three area city councils are scheduled to meet Wednesday, Jan. 8, including a pair of meetings pushed back from Monday.

The regular meeting of the Marceline City Council is set for 5:30 p.m., when council members will receive an update from Downtown Marceline. The council will consider a request from the Recreation and Parks Board for new playground equipment, a measure to vacate a portion of South Cedar Street, and a proposal to rezone a pair of lots on West Maplewood Drive from R-1 to R-2.

The Carrollton Town Council and Moberly City Council both meet at 6 p.m. after delaying their meetings from Monday. In Carrollton, council members will review bids for a side-by-side vehicle for the parks department and consider an ordinance adjusting the pay for the city clerk. In Moberly, the council there will consider whether to accept bids received for a new mower, as well as the replacement of the parking lot at Fox Park.
