A Columbia man suffered moderate injuries after his vehicle slid off a Cooper County roadway just before noon Tuesday, Jan. 21.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a van driven by the 23-year-old began to slide on an ice-covered Big Lick Road, before it went off the road and overturned down a creek embankment. The driver was taken to a Columbia hospital. No one else was in the van at the time of the crash.
