The Marshall Municipal Utilities is requesting council approval to sign for four conduit installation contracts.

The board reviewed the bids for four different installation contracts during a previous meeting. About 130 miles of conduit is to be installed between all the contracts. The board accepted the low bids for each contract, accepting the bids from Christopher Coleman in the amount of $464,600 and $310,200 for contracts 2501 and 2502; and the bids from TNT Underground Construction in the amount of $369,600 and $305,800 for contracts 2503 and 2504.

The board now needs council approval to authorize Mayor Vince Lutterbie to sign these contracts for MMU. The Marshall City Council next meets Tuesday, February 4.

In other news, the board approved a motion to request Statements of Qualifications for Professional Engineering Services for current and future projects.
