A Wellington man sustained serious injury after his semi-truck went off a Lafayette County roadway.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash involving a Kenworth occurred a mile south of Napoleon on Route D around 3:45 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3. The patrol says the semi was heading north through a curve when it went off the left side of the roadway and struck a sign, utility pole, culvert, and several trees. The 60-year-old driver was taken to a Kansas City area hospital.
