Members of the Great River Council of Scouting America joined Marshall Mayor Vince Lutterbie in a brief ceremony Tuesday, Feb. 4 proclaiming this week as Scouting Week.

Osage Trail District Executive Maddison King tells KMMO News the importance of dedicating the first week of February to showing support for Scouting troops and packs.

The ribbon cutting ceremony marked the organization’s name change from Boy Scouts of America. King says Saline County is home to four troops and three packs. A member of Pack 42 took part in the ceremony.
