The Moberly Schools Board Of Education received an update Tuesday, Feb. 11 from a committee developing a list of priorities for the district to include on a future bond proposal.

Supt. Cristina Wright says the current bond measure will expire in 2026, providing the district an opportunity to fund another round of projects should voters approve a renewed bond at that time.

Wright says with rising costs, the district is having to adjust their priorities and cross some items off their wish list.

Moberly’s school board also received a construction update on the new fieldhouse. Also at Tuesday night’s meeting, the board approved maintaining the cooperative agreement with nine area school districts for use of the Early Childhood Learning Center. The board also agreed to keep the district’s annual tuition rate for next school year at $11,650 for grades K-12 and $2,000 per year for the Moberly Area Technical Center.
