The Missouri Tigers scored 29 points in the second quarter to take a four-point lead into the locker room at the half against Oklahoma. However, they could only score 22 points in all of the second half, as the 16th ranked Sooners rolled out of Mizzou Arena on Sunday, Feb. 16 with an 82-66 outcome.

The old Big Eight foes exchanged the lead four times in the opening frame, with Oklahoma leading 17-15 entering the second quarter. Mizzou were sublime in the second quarter, sinking 10 of their 11 field goal attempts, including three from distance, to lead by as much as nine, before Oklahoma cut the lead down to four. However, Mizzou’s momentum was squelched in the third quarter when the Sooners went on an eight-point run to take the lead, while limiting the Tigers to just ten points. Things grew worse for Mizzou as Oklahoma responded to Avery Schreacke’s three-point basket to start the fourth with 12 straight points, turning the tight game into a blowout loss for Mizzou, who now fall to below .500 on the season.

Ashton Judd led the Tigers with 13 points off the bench, while Laniah Randle and Grace Slaughter each had a dozen points. Five Sooners were in double-figures, led by Peyton Verhulst with 15 points.

Mizzou are now 13-14 on the year, with a 2-10 mark in the SEC. The Tigers will host Kentucky on Thursday night, with tipoff at 6:30 p.m.
