County clerks and election authorities across Missouri continue their preparations for the April 8 municipal and school elections, including the first opportunity for voters to cast their ballots.

Absentee voting will begin next week for those that provide an excuse for not being able to make it to the polls in April. Saline County Clerk Brittni Burton has a rundown of the schedule for absentee voting.

Burton also reminds voters of the advance voting opportunity the Saturday prior to the election.

Burton adds that Saline County residents should receive a sample ballot in the mail indicating the races and ballot measures that they will have the opportunity to vote on April 8.
