The Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre announced that Alan Knoll has stepped in as the theatre’s Interim Artistic Director.

Knoll has been involved in more than 20 Lyceum productions and his influence spreads far and wide. His career also includes tenures at other venues, such as The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Ballet Conservatory of St. Louis, Nebraska Repertory Theatre, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Old Creamery Theatre, and Ozark Actors Theatre.

Knoll is the recipient of numerous acting and directing honors, and was recently nominated for three 2025 St. Louis Theatre Circle awards: Outstanding Supporting Performer in a Drama for “August: Osage County,” Outstanding Performer in a Comedy for “We All Fall Down,” and Outstanding Director of a Drama for “Red.”

He was named Artist of the Year in the St. Louis-based LOTTIE awards in 2024. Alan will direct three productions in the Lyceum’s 2025 season: “Rounding Third,” “Arsenic and Old Lace,” and “A Christmas Carol.”
