A Kansas City, Mo. man lost his life after losing control of his motorcycle west of Lincoln on Wednesday, March 13.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the 51-year-old man was riding his motorcycle east on Route C, when at around 4:50 p.m., the motorcycle failed to negotiate a right hand curve about three miles west of Lincoln. The motorcycle crossed the center line and went off the left side of the highway, then overturned and ejected the man. Troopers say the motorcyclist was not wearing his helmet at the time of the crash. He’s the 12th fatality recorded by the Patrol’s Troop A in 2025.
