The St Louis Blues are staying in the hunt for a wild card spot, as Jordan Kyrou netted a pair of goals in the Blues’ 4-1 win over Nashville on Tuesday, March 19.

Kyrou claimed his first goal off a wrist shot late in the second period, which made the score 3-0 Blues. Brady Skjei pulled a goal back for Nashville with a second left in the period, but Kyrou was able to restore the three-goal lead during the third, beating goalie Juuse Saros a second time. The forward has scored five goals and added three assists in the Blues’ last three games. Dylan Holloway recorded assists on Kyrou’s two goals, as well as Justin Faulk’s opening goal on a power-play. Jake Neighbours recorded a backhanded goal late in the first with Faulk assisting. Shots on goal were even with the Blues recording 22 and Nashville registering 23 attempts.

The Blues are on a three-game winning streak, keeping pace with Vancouver in the chase for the second wild card spot in the West. Both the Blues and Canucks are on 75 points, with the Canucks still retaining one game in hand. Calgary is now two points behind, but have two games in hand compared to the Blues. The Blues return to Enterprise Center on Thursday night to host the Canucks; puck drop is at 6:30 p.m.
