Another Smith-Cotton High School senior has been selected to participate in the Missouri Fine Arts Academy this summer at Missouri State University in Springfield.
S-C’s Jeffthan Glaster has been selected for the the academy, which is scheduled for June 1-14. This opportunity allows students to explore artistic techniques and gain knowledge in their primary discipline and the disciplines of the academy. It helps students learn processes for creating, revising and presenting their work.
Glaster was accepted to MFAA for Vocal and Orchestral Disciplines; he also has qualified for the MSHSAA state competition in Speech and Debate.
Glaster is the second S-C senior to be selected for the academy this summer, with Marlene Rubio also being chosen.
All students who successfully complete MFAA will receive college credit from Missouri State University at no additional cost.
