A Sedalia woman was injured after a vehicle lost control and ran off a Benton County roadway on Saturday, April 5.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred when the vehicle driven by a 27-year-old Warsaw woman lost control of her vehicle on a curve, running off the right side of the road and overturning.

A 24-year-old passenger in the vehicle sustained serious injuries in the accident. She was taken to Bothwell Regional Hospital for her injuries. The passenger was reportedly not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The accident occurred at 2:12 a.m. on Missouri 7, south of Route KK in Benton County.
