The Higginsville Board of Aldermen approved contracts for the city’s 2025 Street Improvement Program during its meeting Monday, April 7.

Aldermen reviewed the bids for this project, which is scheduled to begin this summer. City Administrator Jeanette Dobson says aldermen approved contracts for the milling, asphalt, and concrete work.

The milling bid from Harris Milling Company was approved in the amount of 95 cents per square yard, the asphalt bid from Thorne and Son Asphalt was approved at $85.90 per ton, and the concrete bid from Tom Rinne Concrete was approved at $7.45 per square foot.
