Three Warrensburg residents were taken to an area hospital after a two-vehicle crash north of there Saturday, April 19.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 25-year-old man was passing multiple cars on a hill on Business Route 13, about three miles north of Warrensburg. At around 5:30 p.m. a southbound truck driven by a 37-year-old woman swerved to avoid the oncoming car, only for the car to swerve into them, resulting in the crash. Both drivers were taken to an area hospital, with the older driver sustaining moderate injury and the car’s driver minor injury. A passenger in the truck suffered serious injury and was also taken to a nearby hospital. Troopers say the truck’s driver was not wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash.
