A two-month project to upgrade several aspects of Route 23 from the U.S. Route 50 junction south to Route DD in Knob Noster begins Friday, May 2.

The project will see the road resurfaced, along signal upgrades and the installation of a turn lane from northbound 23 to McPherson Street. Lane and shoulder closures, along with flagging operations, will take place over the next two months. The project is slated for completion in July, with all work weather permitting. The upgrades are underway, ahead of the relocation of Knob Noster High School to a new campus north of Route 50 in the fall of 2026.
