Roy M. Willis, 89, of rural Miami, MO, died Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Big Bend Retreat in Slater.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with graveside services following at Miami Cemetery with William W. Harlow officiating.  Memorials are suggested to ACG Hospice or Big Bend Retreat in Slater.  An online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born July 8, 1935, in Miami, he was the son of the late Oscar Willis and Riva Sullivan Willis.  Roy lived in the rural Miami area his entire life and was a 1953 graduate of Slater High School.  On October 21, 1961, he married Barbara Ann Tucker who survives of the home.  Throughout his life Roy’s career was spent as a farmer, truck driver and construction worker.  Roy served on the Miami school board and was involved in the Harmony Cemetery Association.  When he wasn’t working he enjoyed working with livestock and going to Branson. Roy loved his family and time they spent together with 4th of July fireworks, visiting with friends and family, watching kids play basketball, as well as teasing people.

In addition to his wife of over 63 years, Barbara; he is survived by four children: Russell “Rusty” Willis (Cheryl) of Marshall, Ricky Willis (Lauri) of Yorkville, IL, Chris Pollard of Slater and Jamie Parrish (Bobby) of Marshall; seven grandchildren: Caleb Willis (Stevie), Rachel Brunkhorst (Seth), Sara Hisle (Clayton), Tyler Willis, Hannah Willis, Nick Pollard (Raeann) and Joe Pollard; seven great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Riva; and one sister, Geraldine Ritchey.
