A portion of West Broadway through Sedalia will be reduced to one lane Monday as the city’s public works crews will replace a water valve.

The work will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and result in the left lane and turn lane of eastbound Broadway closing from Harrison to Kentucky. Motorists may want to use an alternate route where possible.

As part of the work, water service will also be temporarily shut off during the work on Broadway between Grand and Ohio avenues, and on South Moniteau from Broadway to Tenth Street. Affected residents will be under a boil advisory for 24 hours when service is restored.
