Ahead of the resurfacing project on U.S. Route 65 through Carroll and Livingston counties, crews with the Missouri Department of Transportation will repair potholes along the route this week.
The pothole patching is among several projects that crews will tackle this week in Carroll County. Crews will complete the work each day through Friday, May 30 from 6 a.m. until about 4:40 p.m. The road will be narrowed to one lane. Shoulder work is also scheduled this week along Routes E, EE, T, and UU, and the bridge rehabilitation project for Route B over Camp Creek continues until Thursday, with traffic on the bridge reduced to one lane. A flag crew will direct motorists through the work zone. Afterward, these crews will begin a rehabilitation of the Puzzle Creek Bridge on Route P in Chariton County, scheduled to begin Thursday.
Bridge maintenance is also underway on two bridges over the Lamine River in Cooper County. The bridges carrying Route 41 and Interstate 70 will have one lane open on each until the work concludes Thursday. Route 41 will also have shoulder work beginning Wednesday from Arrow Rock south to Route K. The Route 3 bridge over Sweet Spring Creek in Randolph County remains under maintenance, with work continuing Tuesday through Thursday and next week, each day between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. A width restriction of 10 feet will be in place.
Pavement repairs are scheduled Wednesday and Thursday on Route AA in southern Cooper County, as well as along Route H from Route AA south to Clarksburg in Moniteau County. Also in Moniteau County, two sections of Route 87 are down to one lane for pavement repair work Tuesday and Wednesday. Howard County’s Route N will have pavement repairs as well Tuesday through Thursday from Route H to County Road 121. Another pavement project will result in road closures this week for Route YY in Randolph and Monroe counties. Wednesday the road will close from U.S. Route 24 to the Monroe County line, then Thursday for the roadway east from the county line to Route 151.
Inclement weather resulted in the delay of more culvert replacement work in Triplett. Route M is now closed Tuesday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, between Route Z and Killdeer Road. Ditch work is also scheduled for this stretch of roadway Friday. A culvert replacement project is also planned this week along Route F in Moniteau County, with one lane remaining open to allow a flag crew to direct traffic through the work site.
