The Moberly City Council approved a cooperative agreement with the Moberly Area Economic Development Corporation to conduct a feasibility study in the city.

The city will be funding a portion of the cost of this study. Community Relations Manager Scott McGarvey says the council is supporting this study to see if it is viable to bring another hotel into Moberly.

In other news, the council approved a request to close the 500 Block of West Reed Street for a Bed Racing event on August 2.
