
Three Sedalia residents, including two juveniles, were injured in a one-vehicle accident on Missouri Highway B in Benton County on Friday, June 20.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol states the accident occurred when a vehicle driven by a 13-year-old from Sedalia crossed the center of the roadway and struck a tree while traveling northbound on Highway B at Secluded Loop.
A 38-year-old passenger in the vehicle sustained serious injuries and was life-flighted to University Medical Center for treatment. Both the 13-year-old driver and an 11-year-old passenger had moderate injuries in the crash. All three occupants were reportedly wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident.
The accident was reported at 6:24 p.m. in Benton County.
