A Sedalia teenager lost his life after two Sea-doos collided in a Southwest Missouri lake over the weekend.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the accident occurred Saturday, June 21 around 2:45 p.m. at Table Rock Lake’s Clevenger Cove, south of Branson. Troopers say that the watercraft driven by the 16-year-old struck a vessel driven by a 19-year-old from Ozark. The Sedalia teenager was pronounced dead at the scene an hour later by the Taney County Deputy Coroner. No injuries were reported for the other boater.
The fatality is the first boating death reported for Southwest Missouri’s Troop D this year.
