
The Slater School District Board of Education voted to adopt the 2025-2026 budget during its meeting on Tuesday, June 26.
The took steps to authorize final transfers and amendments in the 2024-2025. This included clearing the outstanding balance on the student body activity account, which came out to $21,608. The board also approved one final transfer from the General Fund to the Special Fund. Superintendent Terry Lorenz said these final actions were required before the board can turn the page and approve next year’s budget.
The 2025-2026 budget takes effect July 1.
The board also approved a ten percent increase in out of district tuition rates. The tuition for the high school was set at $6,840, while K-8 was set at $4,560.
