The Marshall Chamber of Commerce honored Willie Harlow of Marshall as the 2025 Citizen of the Year.
Harlow received the award at Thursday night’s annual Chamber of Commerce banquet, hosted at the Saline County Fairgrounds. Harlow calls it a great honor.
Harlow is owner and CEO of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home as well as the Saline County Coroner. He says it’s important to give back to the business community he’s been part of for three decades.
About 100 people attended Thursday night’s banquet. The Chamber also honored dentist Aubrie Plummer Evans as the Young Professional of the Year, Gary Arth as the Volunteer of the Year, and Sturhahn Jewelers as the Business of the Year. Two servicemen from Whiteman Air Force Base, senior airman Trinity Messier and technical sergeant Cameron Preiss, were recognized with the Spirit of Hope Award.
The chamber also announced and presented four new awards. Mull Family Farms of Malta Bend received the Ag Impact Award, while Tom McRoberts was named the inaugural Veteran of the Year. Josh Ming of Bueker Middle School was named the Educator of the Year, while the Lifetime Achievement Award went to Colin Vaillancourt, a former Marshall High School science teacher who passed away in May.
